About

The ProxTalker in brief

ProxTalker is a recorded-speech AAC device that uses RFID sound tags to turn pictures, symbols, text or objects of reference into spoken messages. The user places a sound tag on any of five message locations and presses the corresponding button to hear the recording. Tags can store up to 8 seconds each, and the Speak All tag can play a sequence of selected tags automatically to support sentence-level communication. Programming is completed directly on the device with no computer or software required. The standard package includes 80 prerecorded sound tags, 60 blank small tags, a binder or backpack with four-page Velcro set, two sets of programming tags, labels and laminates, tool kit and a 3-year warranty. Standard and light-touch activation options are available.
