The BIGmack is a simple single-message AAC speech device designed to give a user one clear, directly accessible recorded message at a time. Pressing the large coloured top plays a message of up to two minutes, and the message can be re-recorded quickly throughout the day as communication needs change. This makes BIGmack useful for introducing intentional communication, making requests, participating in activities, sharing information and taking a turn in social or learning routines. A clear snap cover can hold a picture symbol for context, and the device can also add a recorded communication message to a switch-controlled toy or appliance.
