The Grid Pad 13 in brief
Grid Pad 13 is a flagship Windows AAC device for users who need a powerful, mountable communication system that can support touch, switches, head pointing and eye gaze. It runs Windows 11 Pro with Grid 3 and combines a 13.3-inch full-HD display with a 6.5-inch rear-facing second screen for more natural face-to-face communication. Eye-gaze modules are available in dedicated enclosures for Evo, Lumin-i and Vida, and Smartbox also supports a PCEye 5 enclosure. The device includes dual 3.5 mm switch ports, programmable Smart Buttons, environmental control, powerful audio and a dual Rehadapt/Daessy mounting plate. Smartbox specifies up to 13 hours of battery life, or around 8 hours with eye gaze, and a 3-year SmartCare warranty where applicable. The supplied package includes the communication aid, mains adaptor and lead, rucksack carry case, remote power button, screen cleaning cloth and support documentation; eye-gaze configurations add the selected camera and related setup components. A suitable wheelchair, desk or floor mount is strongly recommended for eye-gaze users to maintain stable positioning.
