Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
This website, www.consortworld.com, is owned and operated by Consort World FZCO (“Consort World”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a free zone company licensed in the United Arab Emirates under licence number [confirm licence number and issuing free zone authority]. Our office is Office 1102, The Dome Tower, Cluster N, Jumeirah Lake Towers, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (PO Box 282404). We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy.
We process personal data in line with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (the “PDPL”) and other applicable UAE law. Questions about this policy go to info@consortworld.com.
2. The personal data we collect
We collect only what we need for the purpose stated.
- Contact and enquiry details: name, organisation, job title, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, and your message, when you contact us, request a demo or book an assessment.
- Account details: name, email address and password (stored encrypted) if you create an account.
- Order details: billing and delivery addresses, products ordered, order history and invoices.
- Payment details: card payments are processed by our payment provider, Paymennt. We do not see or store your full card number. If you pay by bank transfer or cash on delivery, we keep the payment record with your order.
- Technical details: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and the time of each visit. See our Cookie Policy.
- Information about needs: when you book an assessment or ask about a product, you may tell us about a person’s condition, disability or communication needs. This is sensitive personal data. We ask for it only where it is needed to recommend suitable equipment, and we treat it with extra care (section 5).
Where you give us information about someone else, for example a child, a client or a patient, please make sure you are entitled to do so.
3. Why we use it, and on what basis

We do not use your personal data for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
4. Marketing
We send marketing only if you have opted in, and you choose the channel: email, phone, SMS or WhatsApp. Every marketing message tells you how to opt out. We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing.
5. Sensitive personal data
Information about health, disability or communication needs is used only to advise on and supply the right products and services. It is seen only by the staff and clinical partners working on your request. We do not use it for marketing. If our work for you becomes a regulated health service, we will also follow UAE Federal Law No. 2 of 2019 on the use of information and communication technology in health fields, which restricts storing health data outside the UAE.
6. Who we share it with
We share personal data only as needed for the purposes above:
- Service providers acting for us: web hosting, payment processing (Paymennt), website form handling, email and CRM tools, couriers and logistics partners. They may use the data only on our instructions.
- Manufacturers and authorised partners: where needed to register a warranty, arrange a repair or provide technical support for your product.
- Authorities: where UAE law, a court or a competent authority requires it.
- A buyer of our business: if all or part of Consort World is sold, subject to equivalent protection.
We do not pass card details to any third party other than our payment provider.
7. Transfers outside the UAE
Some of our service providers store data outside the UAE. Where this happens, we transfer data only to countries with adequate protection, or under contractual safeguards, or with your consent, as the PDPL permits.
8. How long we keep it

After that, we delete the data or anonymise it so you can no longer be identified.
9. Your rights
Under the PDPL you may ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you, why, who we share it with and whether it leaves the UAE;
- give you a copy of your data in a structured, machine-readable form;
- correct inaccurate data, or complete incomplete data;
- erase your data, where we no longer need it or you withdraw consent;
- restrict or stop processing, including direct marketing;
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.
To use any of these rights, email info@consortworld.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We will respond within 30 days [confirm]. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the UAE Data Office.
10. Security
We use technical and organisational measures suited to the data we hold. These include encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypted card processing by our payment provider, access limited to staff who need it, and regular updates to the website software. No system is completely secure. If a breach affects your personal data in a way that puts your privacy at risk, we will notify you and the UAE Data Office as the PDPL requires.
11. Children
This website is not intended for people under 18 to register or place orders. Many of our products support children. Information about a child should be provided by a parent, guardian or professional acting for them.
12. Links to other websites
Our website links to manufacturers and partners. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please read their policies.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Changes take effect when posted here, and the date at the top will change. Where a change materially affects how we use your data, we will tell you by email or on the website.
