The Grid Pad 16 in brief
Grid Pad 16 is the largest and most visually spacious model in Smartbox's flagship Grid Pad range. It runs Windows 11 Pro with Grid 3 for Windows and uses a 16-inch WQXGA HDR display for users who benefit from larger cells, wider layouts or more precise selections. Like Grid Pad 13, it supports dedicated eye-gaze enclosures for Evo, Lumin-i and Vida, with a PCEye 5 enclosure also available. It includes a 6.5-inch second screen, dual 3.5 mm switch ports, programmable Smart Buttons, environmental control, dual Rehadapt/Daessy mounting and multiple USB connections. Smartbox specifies up to 13 hours of battery life, or around 8 hours with eye gaze, and a 3-year SmartCare warranty where applicable. The package includes the communication aid, mains adaptor and lead, rucksack carry case, remote power button, screen cleaning cloth and support documentation; eye-gaze configurations include the selected camera and associated setup items. Because of its larger size and eye-gaze use case, a robust wheelchair, desk or floor mount is strongly recommended.
