About

The TiPY One-Handed Keyboard in brief

TiPY is an assistive one-handed keyboard designed for people with limited function in one hand or arm. Its double-sided design allows the same keyboard to be used with either the left or right hand: the hand pad is removed, the keyboard is rotated, and TiPY automatically detects the active side while deactivating the underside. A mouse joystick, two mouse buttons, scrolling and a numeric keypad are integrated into the keyboard, reducing the need to move between separate input devices. TiPY connects by Bluetooth or USB-C and supports Windows, macOS, iOS, Android and Linux. It includes 12 selectable language layouts on one device and provides up to 100 hours of active battery operation. An online TiPY Trainer is available to help users learn the purpose-designed one-handed key arrangement.

Who it helps

Is this right for you?

People who have reliable use of one hand but find a conventional two-handed keyboard and separate mouse difficult or inefficient. TiPY can support computer access after stroke, limb difference or injury, and for people with motor conditions affecting one side or upper-limb function. Because its layout is specifically designed for one-handed typing, users should expect a learning period; the TiPY online trainer is available to support that transition.
