AccessAbilities Expo 2023

We were delighted to exhibit at AccessAbilities Expo in Dubai, one of the region’s largest events for people of determination. Thank you to everyone who visited our stand. We look forward to seeing you at our next event.

AAC Awareness Month

October is AAC Awareness Month, and #AACisNotSilence. AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) covers the tools, methods and strategies that help people who find speech or expressive language difficult. We introduced our classroom AAC kit, which can be tailored to the devices and languages a school needs. Speak to our team to find out more.

Rett Syndrome Awareness Month

Rett syndrome is a rare genetic disorder that mainly affects girls and causes severe physical and cognitive difficulties. There is no cure, but assistive technology can help. We shared the story of Nina, a young eye gaze user with Rett syndrome, and her mother Andreja’s reflections: “October marks the month where we celebrate Nina’s birthday and raise awareness for Rett Syndrome.”

Life after stroke

Stroke is a leading cause of long-term disability, and assistive technology can help survivors live more independently. We shared the story of Rick, who has aphasia after a stroke and keeps working out and helping with the family business.
