Meet the team behind Consort World
Our team shares one purpose: to change lives by building a more inclusive community for people of determination.
Karl, eye gaze super user
Karl, who has cerebral palsy, uses a Tobii Dynavox eye tracker to control his computer and communication device with his eyes. It lets him communicate, connect with others and take an active part in the things he enjoys.
Sara’s story
August was Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Awareness Month. As reported by Gulf News, Sara, who has SMA and cannot speak or move, uses a Tobii Dynavox eye tracker on a Rehadapt floor stand to browse the web, watch films, use social media and continue her studies.
Ready for school
For the new school year we highlighted large-key keyboards such as BigKeys, with keys four times the usual size for users with learning or visual disabilities or cerebral palsy, and Boardmaker visual schedules and activities. Our summer grid set and back-to-school page set were free to download.
TD Snap in Arabic
We ran a free Arabic-language webinar on TD Snap and how it supports learning and remote training.
Workshop at Revital Rehabilitation Hospital
In July we worked with Revital Rehabilitation Hospital on how to build an inclusive environment with assistive technology.
What we offer
We run workshops and in-house training on eye trackers and assessment, communication for autism and special educational needs, switches and wheelchair mounting, classroom tools, interactive music therapy, sensory rooms, environmental control and computer access. We also offer one-to-one assessments at home, school, work or our office.
TD Phone update
Tobii Dynavox added customisable Quick Messages to TD Phone, so AAC users can show emotion and intent during calls, and separate dwell times for keyboard buttons.
